I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and hold a B.A. in Mass Communication with a Visual Communication emphasis from the University of South Dakota. I am currently working on a master's degree in Information and Communications Technology with an emphasis on Web Design and Development at the University of Denver.
I love finding beauty in unexpected places, and enjoy visiting flea markets and thrift stores in search of rustic treasures to incorporate into jewelry designs. I have a fascination with the old and worn, things that have a back story, things that hold a certain air of mystery or intrigue in that you'll never know where they've been. Lately, treasures such as old dictionaries with amazing illustrations, sheet music, French textbooks with old cursive handwriting in the margins, and old keys and bits of metal often work their way into my jewelry designs.
